MyIrishWages — Built for the self-employed

Your income, your expenses, your tax — finally clear.

Snap a receipt, see exactly what to set aside, and hand it all to your accountant in one tap. No spreadsheets, no October surprises.

Start free — no card needed. Full access, free for 15 days. Or see your number first, no signup: the calculator on this page estimates income tax, USC and PRSI Class S from your annual profit.

Your business's new right hand.

It does the boring part — capturing, sorting and counting — so your self-assessment adds up on its own and you get back to the work you actually do.

Snap it, AI logs it

Photograph any receipt. The AI reads the date, amount and VAT and files it under the right category, tuned to your trade. Faded paper — deduction already saved.

Set aside — and what's yours

See your tax build up live, what to put aside each month — and what's really yours to take home. No October scramble.

One tap to your accountant

A tidy pack — spreadsheets, PDF summary and every receipt — straight to their inbox. The "send me your files" email, sorted.

VAT, handled

Registered? It separates what you charged from what you can reclaim and works out each period. You report — we do the maths.

Ask the AI anything (Pro)

"How much do I set aside?" "Near the VAT threshold?" Ask in plain English and get a read on your own figures — never a replacement for your accountant.

Every tax year, closed clean

Countdown to the 31 October self-assessment deadline, then close the year in one tap — your balance carries into the next. Every year kept safe, nothing slips.

Built on official Revenue rules

No guesswork. The same Income Tax bands, USC and PRSI Class S that Revenue applies to sole traders under self-assessment — so the number you set aside is the number you'll actually owe.

Less than a coffee a week

At €19.90 a month — or €199 a year — it costs less than the tax a single lost receipt can quietly cost you.

Not registered with Revenue yet?

Here's the whole thing, in plain English. No account needed to read this — registering is free and takes about ten minutes.

  1. Sign in to Revenue. Use myAccount if you've never dealt with Revenue directly, or ROS if you already have it. Revenue will ask for your PPS number.
  2. Open eRegistration. Inside, pick eRegistration and register for Income Tax as a sole trader. Prefer paper? Form TR1 does exactly the same job.
  3. You're self-assessed. From then on you file once a year, by 31 October, and pay what you owe. That's all "self-assessment" means.

It costs nothing

Revenue doesn't charge you to register — if a site asks you to pay for it, that site isn't Revenue.

Only a small side income?

Under €5,000 a year outside your job, you may not need to register as a sole trader yet. Worth asking Revenue or an accountant first.
